2018 has been a great year:
On January, I moved out to my very first apartment. It never felt like moving out because it was just a few steps away from my parents’ apartment in the first place.
On February, I got to travel back to the Philippines for my bestfriend’s wedding and after that I got to visit South Korea for a few hours.
On March, I got paid a bit more at work.
On April, Michael moved to Canada for good and we started our first year of officially living together in our own tiny apartment. We also travelled to Niagara and Toronto with the fambam.
On May, Michael got baptized.
On June, I graduated from U of M.
On August, Michael and I went on a spontaneous trip to Calgary and Banff. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
On September, Michael started his degree in Environmental Design and he has not slept since.
On November, I took my mom on a short trip to Edmonton and I aspire to take her to trips every now and then as my way of giving back.
On December, I realized that I have been blessed and I am willing to strive to become better.
I had a list of resolutions for the new year namely:
- Better devotional life
- Strengthen relationships
- Get a full time job
- Learn Lightroom + take better photos + post one recipe a week on my blog
- Travel to two new places
- Take care of health
- Save money to be able to go back home + travel on 2020
But tonights’ new year family devotion reminded me to just seek God’s general will for my life and He will handle the specifics (i.e. what job to have, what decisions to make).
Instead of having a list of resolutions, I will pray to do one thing: follow His will; and He will do the rest.
What are you praying for for 2019?

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
